Material Adularia with Gypsum (Selenite) and Chlorite.
Origin Skardu District, Northern Areas, Pakistan.
Description Unusual bed of pale gray coloured Adularia crystals with a layer of clear Gypsum var. "Selenite" partially overgrowing them. The adularia can clearly be seen through the gypsum. The base of the piece shows more adularia crystals and gypsum but has a coverage of microscopic dark gray green Chlorite.
Interesting alpine type piece.
Dimensions 60mm x 60mm x 25mm
Largest crystal Adularia: 10mm appx., Gypsum: 50mm appx., Chlorite - Micro.
