Material Fluorite crystals coated with quartz and minor Calcite.
Origin El Hammam Mine, El Hammam, Meknès, Meknès Prefecture, Fès-Meknès Region, Morocco.
Description Large intergrown well defined cube crystals of green Fluorite almost entirely coated with drusy quartz crystals and with a few isolated calcite crystals in association. With long wave U.V. light the fluorite shows a rich blue / purple colour. Nice example of Moroccan Fluorite.
Dimensions 125mm x 75mm x 40mm appx.
Largest crystal Fluorite - Appx. 35mm, Quartz - small crystals up to about 7mm, Calcite - 5mm
