Material Tourmaline (Indicolite) with Muscovite, Quartz and Albite (Var. "Cleavelandite")
Origin (Locality) Chamachhu Pegmatites, Chamachhu, Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan.
Description A fine little association group of crystals comprising a sub-parallel group of terminated blue-tipped Tourmaline (Indicolite) crystals emerging from the side of a larger Muscovite mica crystal which has in turn a single terminated Quartz crystal protruding from one side. There is also a little pure white "Cleavelandite" to one end of the specimen.
A very nice little group of pegmatite minerals from a location that currently no longer produces Indicolite Tourmalines.
